I'm in. Anyone else?
I'm not racing, but this week I have been drinking Kona blend coffee. Good luck this weekend. Tear it up!!
Phil you the represent the best of our qualities. Good luck man! Hugh - good one :P
Good luck, Phil! You're going to kill it. Bring back some macadamia nuts.
Watch for Elizbeth Weaver #403 competing in W 55-59.
Oh cool for Elizabeth. She was one of our Ironman Seminar Panelists this year. Awesome.
Saw Phil just finished in 9:54! Killer race!
Elizabeth is also doing awesome so far.
Freakin' amazing! Way to go Phil.
I grabbed some screenshots of the finish line (from universalsports.com) and dropped them in the DC Tri Club Facebook group. These are public links to the photos:
Elizabeth finished in 13:21, 17th in the 55-59 AG. What an exciting day. Congrats Phil I saw you finish, just an unbelievable race!
oooo thanks for posting those pics to our FB page Kevin.
Outstanding finishes! Thanks for representing us.
It was way cool to watch you cross and see the DC Tri jersey. Great job bro, you deserve a nice offseason.
Definition of a fast triathlete: You do a fall Ironman and you finish while the sun is still out.
Great job Phil!
Sub 10:00, damn man you were supposed to take it easy too! I guess there's not stopping that train. Great time on a tough course, enjoy Hawaii you two!
Phil, You are the man! Incredible race!!
Congrats to Phil and Elizabeth for an awesome inspiring race!
Kristin Andrews (F25-29) took 3rd in her age group at Kona, her 2nd Ironman ever (took first amateur female at Lake Placid in her first IM, after sweeping Columbia Tri and Eagleman, and I think Austin 1/2 last fall). She's from Bethesda, and if she isn/t in DC Tri Club now, was last year...
congratulations to all.
some people are just born to be a lot faster than others.
Hey thanks everyone. It was a VERY difficult race. So hot/windy. Congrats to Elizabeth and Kristin for solid solid performances.
Race report coming soon.
Too bad about Chrissie Wellington!
