Tammy, this sounds cool. I am pretty sure that I will be there on Monday. Nothing like swimming in the bay early in the morning.

Word has it that if you swim fast enough, the jelly fish will bounce right off of you.

Here's a link to the nettle forecast. Doesn't look too bad. Last time I was out there (month ago), the nettles were out in full force and I was stung half-dozen times. It was annoying, not painful, and I kept swimming.

I was there less than 48 hours ago and there were none to be found. There was, however, a 50+ year old guy there with a thong. Not a Euro speedo ... A THONG! I kid you not. If there isn't a law against that, there should be. I think that I would rather be stung by a thousand jellyfish in both of my eye sockets.

I swam at 9:30 am this morning and didn't see any jelly fish either. I wish there was someone else swimming with me because it was quite scary to swim alone in the murky and choppy water. I'm a decent swimmer but I'm used to swim with other competitors in the lake or river and being surrounded by lifeboats. Where was the guy with a thong when I needed him?
