I'll be there if non-NTPers are allowed to swim

Unfortunately, I broke my arm on a training ride a few weeks ago and won't be getting in open water anytime soon!

Alice -- Sorry to hear about your arm! I hope you feel better soon.

For some reason the link to the Swimming Instruction handout didn't work in the email I sent out yesterday. If you're having trouble, try clicking here to get a copy. We'll also bring them to Sandy Point.

I'd love to go. Would anyone like to offer a ride from pretty much anywhere in the District? (Can offer gas $$$, fresh strawberries, etc.)

David, if you still need a ride, let me know.

Okay, I heard back from David and he didn't need ride so I have a spot open for a person and their bike for this Saturday's NTP swim, ride & lunch (I'll be there for all three). I'm in Southwest DC.

Hey NTP peeps, I'd like to go on Saturday morning and I'd rather go with others for the company. I can probably fit two more peeps in the car and two more bikes on the rack. Anyone wanna carpool? I live in Alexandria close to Pentagon City Mall, and I can pick up folks anywhere within reason.

I plan to do the swim clinic, the ride, and the lunch.

Reply by Friday 3PM if anyone is interested.

Cheers,
-Elias

I am brand new to this group and didn't sign up for the DC Tri in time to join any training programs. I am a total newbie. I would still love to be able to do this Open Water Swim -- is it only for people enrolled in a program? I couldn't tell. Thanks!

The OWS clinic can be attended by anyone. But keep in mind, this clinic is designed for beginners! So if you're already an expert, you might be bored. :)

The clinic starts at 9:00 and is being led by some of the awesome members of DCTriClub. There will be a bike ride into and around Annapolis following the clinic (for about 90 minute or so). And the group will be going out to lunch after the ride. You're welcome to come to all or part of the day's events.

Thanks for opening this up to non-NTP'ers who are working on getting comfortable in open water. Since we don't get the newsletter, can you post details/directions please?

Thanks!

I'm a total newbie, signed up for the DC Triathlon. I hope to be there and feel what it's like to put on a wetsuit, swim in open water, etc.
