Time: 6:45pm – 7:45pm
Where: Sports + Spinal Physical Therapy. 2175 K Street, NW, Suite C-1320, Washington, DC 20037
Description: Strike a balance in your body by using the practice of yoga to complement your triathlon training. The repetitive nature of running, cycling, and swimming can lead to imbalances of strength and flexibility. Minimize your risk of injury and improve your form by complementing your training with this extension, core stability, and flexibility focused yoga class.
The classes will include long, deep stretches that target your tight legs and hips, chest opening poses that counter the constant spinal flexion of cycling, and back and core strengthening poses. The instructor will incorporate exercises and poses to increase total body strength, flexibility, and endurance, and breathing and focusing exercises to help you be more aware, efficient, and calm while training and competing.
These classes are being hosted by Sports + Spinal Physical Therapy. For more information on SSPT, please visit us at www.ssptdc com or www.facebook.com.
The instructor for these classes is Kim Trosclair, MA, LMT, RYT, ACE-CPT. Kim is a registered yoga teacher, Pilates instructor, certified personal trainer, licenced massage therapist, and accomplished athlete.
