Training Diaries - History
POSTED: 3/06/13 12:02 PM

Maybe you are an avid reader or just an occasional follower of the club's Training Diaries with professional triathlete Lindsey Jerdonek or the Age Group Training Diaries with Claudia Blackburn, Ben Lookner, and Rachel Eberhard that appear in the Buzz section of the club's website. Maybe you didn't even know these training diaries existed. Well, they do.

The training diaries are a continuing series of blog updates by a few members of the DC Triathlon Club where they can talk about their training and experiences in the multisport lifestyle. These appear in the Buzz section of the website, but the problem is that as new Buzz items come along, the older ones get dropped down in priority and eventually Buzz stories (the training diaries included) fall by the wayside and get turned off and lost in the invisible world of the back-end of the website. And it is a shame to lose all this history that our members have shared with us. These stories have gone back to 2007 when the club had series about "Why I tri?" or the "Triathlete of the Month" interviews.

Now all these stories, interviews, and diaries have been brought together in one section under the Learn tab, separated out by year. You can go read Zach Britton's Training Diaries from 2011. He was an NTP member back in 2007 and had his sights set on the Olympic triathlon while writing the diaries. You can read Ed Moser's "Triathlete of the Month" interview from 2008 and determine if he is still wearing that same shirt in the picture to this day. There are many many great other entries as well that are now available again.

Enjoy!
