Hi all. I had an old road bike that hadn't seen the road in a few years, so I donated it today to Phoenix Bikes. They are a nonprofit bike shop in Arlington that teaches youth to repair bikes in order to learn teamwork, leadership skills, and business skills. They do low-cost tune-ups and repairs for the community, and they resell the donated bikes once they have fixed them up.

Hours are pretty limited, and this month they are only open two days a week, FYI. It's a tiny bit hard to find, but if you park in a lot near a soccer field, you are in the right area (just walk to the other side of the parking garage).
I also brought in some saddles, pedal systems, and an old bike computer, and they seemed very appreciative.
I'm sure there are other bike donation options in the area, but a friend of mine spoke highly of Phoenix Bikes, so I wanted to put it out there as a recommended spot.
