Thanks much to the Board and the training coordinator <3 for helping to establish a place for "C-Group Triathletes" in the DC Tri Club. We're looking to add a more deliberate training group to other club events, and to help the back half of the pack find training partners and peer advice. We welcome slower or older members, as well as anyone coming off an injury or just looking for a low-pressure training group.
We plan to add a C-group to some club activities and training events. We're also open for:
- adjusting time-based training programs for slower speeds
- sharing strategies to avoid injuries and come back from injury safely
- tips for the aging triathlete
- non-podium goal setting and PRs
- gear advice for the heavier or less flexible among us
- finding races that are slow-triathlete-friendly
... and whatever else group members want to discuss!

We're planning a C-group brick on Saturday in preparation for the General Smallwood Sprint. Meeting Saturday, June 30, 9am, at the Hains Point golf course parking lot (south end).
The southern loop will likely be closed for July 4 prep, but we're planning on 9-10 miles on the upper loop, then a mile run. Bike speed around 17/18 mph and run speed around 13-15 min/mile.
