For about a week I've had mild soreness when walking: an ache on the middle edge of my left foot, 3 o'clock looking down at the foot. Where the bone/muscle of the fibularis tertius, or peroneus tertius, is located.
Anyone ever have this problem? Cause/remedy?
It sounds like what you have may be similar to a pain I had in my foot 3 years ago. My pain was the worst first thing in the morning... right when I got out of bed, it hurt so bad I could bearly walk. Then it would get progressively better, but it was still a nagging pain during the day. Apparently it's exacerbated by sleeping with your toes pointed (ankles at 120-150 degrees)... something about how it stretches out the tendons in your feet... that's why it hurts worse when you first get up. If you can get a band to wear at night, that keeps your ankles at 90-degrees, it works wonders to curing the pain!
