Do any Columbia vets have any tips on good places to stay the night before the race?

Well, the Sheraton Columbia Hotel is host lodging for IronGirl and other area races.

I just canceled a reservation at the Doubletree for that weekend. So there should be a room available there.

It is easy to drive down race morning. Really not that far and you get to sleep in your own bed!

I heard parking at the race site is a b**ch, plus you can't leave until everyone has finished. If you drive down race day morning, is there somewhere nearby where you can park?

Kate: As I recall, as you drive west on Rte. 108 in Columbia, at about one mile before the park entrance, on the right, on Woodland Rd. (?), is a back road where racers can park. Then cycle an easy mile or so with your gear to the transition area.
