Exciting. Enjoy the expo and the pre-race. Yes they are some of the best times in your life. Good luck!
Go DC TRI!!! Have a great day.
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
BRING IT MOTHER Fers!!! BRING IT!!!

Mmmmm - Waffle House.
Good luck tomorrow and have fun! We know you'll do great and we're all eagerly waiting for the world's best race report when you get back to work.
On the day of Christmas Santa gave to me ...
a 2.4 miles swim followed by
a 112 miles bike ride followed by
a 26.2 miles run
This is the Ironman. Game on!
So far everyone is ROCKING!
Tuan is through the swim in 1:54 and bike in 6:26. The man broke his collarbone in September, people. Wowza.
Also, when I search for Tuan by last name on the athlete tracker, "Richard Nixon" also comes up. I'm sure there's a conspiracy joke in there somewhere....
Mark Z. rocked the swim in 1:09 and broke 6 hours on the bike. Looks like he's halfway through the run now.
Tuan is a warrior for just getting to the starting line. It's all icing on the cake at this point. GO FOR THE GLORY!!!
Mark Z just finished in 11:41. Awesome job! Other DC Tri-ers are still on the run. Ryan should be finishing w/in 30 minutes.
Cat is getting close to the finish line too.
Awesome job, everyone!
I saw Cat out on the run and will return to see her finish. Of all of the DCTri folks that I saw out there I think Cat had the biggest smile on her face during the first loop of the run. She looked really really happy and seemed to be savoring the moment.
Peter Stephens: 11:35:47
Jeff Spugnardi: 12:50:51
I think that's everyone... If I missed anyone, please add them.
JOHN PANEK bib# 1078 is still out on the course. His wife mira is out there cheering him on as we speak
John Panek came in at 16:27 and looked great doing it!
(1:20 in the morning and Ryan's still posting: from his blackberry perhaps, after going back to do it again?...)
Kudos to all for so much hard work paying off!
Dude... Ryan is the MAN!!! He looked so damn comfortable and smooth out there it was ridiculous. I need to learn his secret.
Congrats to everyone that raced IMFL and B2B! You are all my hero's. Can't wait to read race reports!!
More pics coming
Love Love Love the pixs - thanks - I can feel the excitment and I am very jealous!
Can't believe you risked eating at the Awful House...IRonmen must have iron guts.
It was great seeing other DC Tri Peeps out there on the run course. I shouted at everyone I could who was wearing a DC Tri kit (as well as a few others from local Tri clubs).
I posted a bunch of pics of the pre-days on my blog, and my race report will be posted later tonight.
It was a rough day for me, but happy to be in relaxation mode now. Finish time - 10:38.
