Two clubbers were in bad bike accidents this weekend, though luckily neither apparently suffered serious injuries.
It's springtime finally, after a long cold stretch, as well as spring fever--and suddenly there's lots of runners, bikers, and strollers on the trails, some of which are beaten up by the winter cold and ice. And at the start of the season people's handling skills and alertness may not be at mid-season levels.
So it's more important than ever to realize things happen fast on a bike, and to watch out for the road and for those around you.
Thanks Ed! I'll use this opportunity to plug our club's Code Of Ethics, which includes a section on safety:
Please take a minute to review the code and help us keep our members safe!

Hope they are okay. What an absolutely spectacular day on Saturday. Was stoked to see soooo many people taking advantage of the weather. Hope everyone keeps safe this season. Much of the elements are out of our control but let's do what we can on our end of the bargain.
