This may not be news, but thought I'd pass on that the park police at Haines Point are out in force ticketing folks on two-wheeled carbon/aluminum steeds, which can make those interval sessions less that speedy.
That said, they don't seem to be setting up until 0730 in the morning...(HINT!!)
I was there last night. Lots of NPP cruising around, but not bothering with cyclists - thank god. However, I was cautious.
At the training tri I was talking with a police officer and he said that they are averaging at least one incident per week involving cars and bicycles.
Be cautious everyone out there where ever you may ride.
Any chance we can get these same park police officers to serve as the motorcycle marshalls at the Nations Triathlon? If they are so aggressive about ticketing folks rolling thru stop signs at 6:30am when there are no cars around, hopefully they will be equally proactive about enforcing the drafting rule!
