Dominic: "I have been sending out my groups long distance/ open water workouts over email for the past month to anyone that subscribes to the email list. I send out one weekly email with two swim workouts. Its perfect for athletes that can't make group practices but still need direction when they do get into the water."

Some cool open-water swims have been announced:
"A. Millstone Quarry, Haymarket, VA - This is a beautiful, new freshwater venue for us in a clean, clear stone quarry located about 20 miles west of DC. Practice dates are May 6, June 10, July 8 and Sep 2. Workouts will likely be in the late afternoon, and run/bike options will be offered. We will also follow these swims with major BBQs that the entire family is invited to.
B. Arrowhead Lake, Luray, VA - So far we have just a single morning workout planned here for August 19. There will be an optional bike ride (i.e. 50 miles plus) the day before and a camping/party option the night of August 18 before the morning swim on the 19th.
C. Gunston Manor, Pohick Bay, VA - This is our traditional venue, at the head of Pohick Bay about 15 miles south of DC. So far, we just have an early swim planned for the morning of May 6, but we will offer additional swims in June, early July, September and early October, so please stay tuned for more dates here.
As always, please share any questions, recommendations or concerns with myself or any of your coaches.
