FYI. I parked my car behind the hotel at 4 on Friday to pick up my packet. When I came out at 5 pm someone had smashed my window, taken my IPOD and some other valuables. At the briefing they said we can park around the hotel and take a shuttle bus to the transition area on race day but that's probably the last thing I would do. If you are picking up your packet tomorrow, I would spend the cash and park in a garage.

Sorry to hear your car was broken into and window was smashed!

First rule in city parking is don't leave IPODs and valuables out in the open...heck, in SW if you leave just 10 cents on your dash expect all FOUR windows broken. Crooks like making a point in my neighborhood, I guess.

This is a great reminder.

I learned the hard way as well two weeks ago. Had my window smashed at 10:30am during a five minute trip into Rite Aid on 13th and U.

It doesn't take very long.
