Should know the water temp Friday but yes, bring your wetsuit either way.
Is anyone willing and able to grab about 6 camp chairs from Dena in NoMa neighborhood and bring them Sat? She got them post Black Bear. Thinking it'd be nice to have some chairs for the BBQ for y'all. If so, PM me.
Having childcare dilemmas - I'm doing the XTerra OWS only - how long is the duration of that part of the event?
Pretty much as long or short as you want/need it to be. But PLEASE use caution when driving out on the roads as there could be cyclists racing the tri on the roads.
I am also looking for a ride on Saturday. I live up in Tenleytown, but can easily metro to a more convenient place. I will be racing and do have a bike, but no bike rack. I am happy to share costs. I saw that Elle had a bike rack to offer - perhaps I could tag along with her ride? Thanks!
Let me know if you and your bike need a ride. I can pick up and return 2 people from the Van Dorn Metro stop (blue line) leaving at 6:50-7am. It's a 30 min drive from there. Carolyn
Keeping my fingers crossed that we are done with rain!!! Or if we get anymore it is <0.5 inches.
I've had one person in my car pool back out so I have an open seat available in my minivan if someone needs a ride. A friend is letting me borrow his monster rack that holds 5 bikes so there is space for that one more person to bring his or her bike.
I'll be leaving from Silver Spring, making a stop at the DC waterfront to pick up some folks, and a stop in Alexandria to pick up one more soul.
Starting list including bib numbers posted!http://www.webscorer.com/startlist?raceid=23935&details=1
And another person bailed from my car pool. So now there are two seats for people available and one spot on the bike rack. Claim them before midnight if you want them.
