We are also looking for a few volunteers. Email Hugh if you can help out on March 10.
See you there!
I'd sign up, but I'm hosting this event. The weather has been so spring-like, it's gonna be a nice day to get some training in.
I signed up. Looking forward to some nice friendly competition :)
Last spin class with Ron at Freshbikes and he's bringing food :)
Maureen - I can't hold it the next day due to me running a training marathon the next day. The following week is the National Marathon. After that, the tourist start coming out for the cherry blossums. So, do I need to bring some food to entice people to sign up?
Hugh - I don't think you'll have any issues in selling the du out. If you want 55 spinsters, you'll have to bring Ron too.
Hmmm, for some reason I was thinking this was on Sunday, not Sat. Maybe you guys can combine the two events, get Ron to do a field trip to HP for the last day :)
If everyone else goes to spinning and I'm the only one that shows up, I have a decent chance of winning. I approve.
I'm in...any prizes up for grabs?
The pride and joy of having had a good time with your fellow club members?
I was at least hoping for a few beers...
All right, if you come in third, I'll buy you a beer.
Maybe if everyone buys Ben one beer BEFORE the race, we can all beat him. However, that could make the course pretty messy.
Or skipping the first run leg would just about seal the deal.
Would this be too much of a workout the week before the marathon? Seems to me like a decent way to cross train and not run too many miles the week before...had initially planned on a 10 miler for that day during the taper.
I don't think it could hurt. Just don't go all out and treat it as a fun cross-training day.
its way too much 1 week before a marathon if you are looking to do well with the marathon that is.
On second thought, vatriathlete might be correct. It might not do any harm to complete the duathlon, but why chance it? I'm sure you've spent a lot of time training for the marathon, so just continue with the taper as planned
Registration will close in the Shop on Wednesday, March 6. Register now if you are coming out the Club Duathlon this Saturday!
