Finally, back into the wetsuit so I don't have to hide my swim noodle anymore. The Potomac has cooled down and last night's OWS at National Harbor was wetsuit legal. Woo-Hoo!

Sunday's race should be great training for OWS for the Fall tri season. Several race distances available, 500m, 3K, 5K, and 10K. WaveOne always puts on a great event, good weather predicted, should be an awesome time.

Are you driving? I can supply yummy baked goods for anyone who can shuttle this gal to/from the race ;)

Getting There
POSTED: 9/14/12 8:23 PM

I'm biking from the Old Town METRO station. Metro opens at 7AM on weekends and bikes are permitted on the train all day.

National Harbor is a short four mile, very bike-friendly ride from there. Riding on the dedicated bike path over the Wilson Bridge is pretty cool.

You could also run or walk. Alternatively, the taxi fare is about ten bucks, but you might get a discount for yummy baked goods.

Biking does sound like a nice option, but I only have my TT bike in DC - no commuter - and I don't feel comfortable leaving it unattended, even at a race site.

I'll figure something out! Thanks
