Anyone interested in a Sunday brick next weekend after the Jingle-All-the-Way 10K at Haines Point? I will be doing 12-15 short laps (36-45 miles).

given I haven't died, I could possibly be convinced to do a few laps.

Is it going to rain on Sunday? Considering it - I can take the cold - but the cold and the rain - yes - I am a wuss.

NWS says 90% chance, and that's also following the rain showers that will start Sat night...

I will likely forego the brick :/

Yeah, I saw the weather reports this morning and agree its probably not a great day for a Brick. Enjoy the run!

the radar lies! It was great to see such an upbeat crowd out there today in the cold drizzle. And thanks especially to our intrepid volunteers who got the tent out, grabbed the coffee--donated by starbucks (go Abby!)--and watched the gear so we all had access to warm clothing right after running!

If any of you are interested in posting a race report, this will be first chance we have to test this new feature on the DC Tri website.

How:
Go to the race page for Jingle All the Way:
http://www.dctriclub.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=Race.view&id=7B428983-0EBE-65DF-A7BE4359F50A3087

Look for the box on the right that says "reports." You can submit your report there and once it's approved, you'll see it online.

Where they're posted:
Race reports show up on the page for the race with which they were submitted and also in the Race Reports section (under races) which is a compilation of ALL race reports. Let us know how you think it works.

The tent was to the right of the bag drop offs and just insid the huge fence where the Nations transition area was. Sorry you missed it! Hope to meet up with you at the Kona viewing.

Thanks to everyone who came out and manned the tent! It was great to not have to worry about checking my bag and it always makes me happy to see everyone.

Good job out there DC Tri.

MAJOR THANKS TO:
Hugh Harris, Jakob Wolf-Barnett, Courtney Fulton, Ron Benedict, and Stephen Carlson, for putting up the tent, picking up the coffee, and shivering in the cold watching the gear while a bunch of us raced. Thanks also to all the club members who showed up in cheerful spirits and fabulous holiday outfits yesterday morning!

We were huddled under then tent when it was raining, and it was great not to have to wait in those long lines to pick up gear! We were able to hand out a few flyers for the NTP program, too.

SPECIAL REQUEST: I want to send Starbucks a thank you letter for the free coffee/water. I'd like to send both the local shop and corporate HQ a screen shot of my current Facebook status that mentions their donation and a long list of "THANKS STARBUCKS!" replies... This is free advertising for them, and they'd be a great company to have in our pocket for future events. Please go comment on my status! Thanks!
