Challenge USA -
POSTED: 9/17/13 9:40 AM

There was an article in a local Atlantic City paper that spilled the beans on where it's going to be so all the rumors are true. It's going to be in Atlantic City. http://www.njbiz.com/article/20130916/NJBIZ01/130919871/Grapevine:-Atlantic-City-NJ--to-host-triathlon-next-June

For those interested in doing Challenge USA there is a pre-registration link for your to get a month heads start before general registration opens. http://www.challenge-family.com/challengeusa/

Opportunities to win back your racing fee at the casinos!

Challenge Copenhagen 2012 was great, hope this spreads around the country.

If there was a ChallengeGaithersburg I might be motivated to do it.

AC will be flat, but possibly hot and windy.

Woo hoo!

I was out there this weekend - and it's definitely going to be windy - the question is going to be how bad will the wind be.

It won't be as bad as it was at IM Kalmar!

Has anyone from the Club signed up for Challenge AC? I am contemplating the AquaVelo (bum knee), but the hotels in AC (that don't totally creep me out) are on the expensive side. Would love to stay on the beach in any surrounding town, but not looking to make this a $1000 weekend.

I'm doing Challenge. Brigantine Beach is just a few miles away…it's a really nice beach and there are good hotels, not as skeevy as some of the AC hotels. (Why am I doing a 140.6 in skeevy AC anyway…? Lol.)

I know - AC is skeevy. I was also looking at Cape May - but that may be too far with traffic. I really like Stone Harbor and Avalon - but not many hotels there.
