Any other DC Tri folks doing the HAT 50K this coming Saturday?
I'm headed up there with a bunch of guys from my running group--most of them are serious ultra runners, so this is a "short" run for them...different story for me. I've been nursing some Achilles tendonitis that kicked in about 3 weeks ago...so will be a little more tapered than I would have liked. Still, looks like the weather's going to be great and I've heard it's a fun (though super hilly) race, so I'm looking forward to it.
Anyway, hope to see some other club members out there!
Good luck Matt!
Not going this year but I did HAT a couple of years ago. VERY good race.
Take it easy on the hills and your Achilles should hold up fine. If you need motivation, the hot dog at the finish line will be one of the best dogs of your life.
Good luck! It is a great spectator's race as well since you can drive inside the course and see runners at least 5-6 times on each loop.
