I want my brick! Savageman 2014: Training, Housing, Rides, etc
POSTED: 6/17/14 8:38 PM

I'm starting the official Savageman 2014 thread here. I signed up for the 70.0 and I'm in the deep end now. Hope we can use this thread to bounce around ideas for training, housing, rides, stories of why you want to do the "World's Most Savage Triathlon," pre-race and post-race stuff, etc. If you're a Savageman finisher/survivor/veteran, hope you can share some advice on the race, especially on how to attack the Westernport Wall and get the brick!

Here's some upcoming training rides I plan on doing:

-Skyline on Sat., June 28.
-Deep Creek Lake - both on July 4th weekend and again on Aug. 16 or 17.
-I can't make it to the Deep Creek training weekend as I'll be in Yosemite backcountry.

Nice David. SM is an awesome race. You're gonna love it (likely after you're done, depends if you race it smartly ;-)
I see you're camping/training this weekend with the other 22 people who signed up. I'd be happy to talk to you about the race, the wall and give some tips if you want. See if you can find a steep stretch near Elk Neck St Park to practice on.
- Adam
