So my friend, who works for Sister Cities International, has a solid argument for why I had to sign up for the 5k they are hosting this Saturday in Foggy bottom:
"if you don't do it means you don't support world peace, and you don't want to be known as a warmonger, do you?"
So out of fear of being called a warmonger, I've signed up. Anyone else doing it or interested in doing it? Sounds like a fun int'l themed party afterwards too.
Thanks for the info starcaro. I'm in, but have to do it as a training/warmup run for the ATM. Anyone else wants to hang out at the back of the pack? Maybe brunch after?
You have got to be kidding me?
Brent - If that was in reference to my post regarding warmongering, YES, that was only a joke.
The main point is there is a 5k on Saturday in Foggy Bottom I am gonna do and wanted to see if anyone else was interested.
Alejandro - see you there! Sadly, I'll have to bow out of brunch though because I already have plans.
Not sure I get the point. But no, I'm not kidding. I always run an easy 5k the day before my 10 milers.
i thought the original poster's comment was funny as was brent's sarcastic reaction that was feigning [sic] offense/disbelief when there really was none on his part in order to see what people would say to his post.
both were extremely funny and witty in their own way.
I am a warmonger and will boycott this race on principle.
