Hello, want to join the Saturday ride...can someone please tell me exact time and location (i.e., is there a Gtown pick-up? or just 8th and Penn on Cap Hill?) Also, please confirm, are we talking about Saturday April 24th? Thank you! Anne Marie

I'm sure Sat. riders last week saw the signs, but there's the Face of America ride Saturday morning right along the usual route: http://www.worldteamsports.org/face-of-america-bike-ride/foa-summary. Any ideas of how bad the roads will be?

It looks like that ride only overlaps for a short section on MacArthur, and another short section on Falls Rd. Doesn't seem like a ton of riders either. I doubt that will cause much of an issue.

That's an awesome group, including many disabled riders, rode with them for a while last year. They won't pose a problem, but an inspiration.

Anyone in for tomorrow? 8am or 9am? Looks like the rain will be holding off until the mid/late afternoon, leaving some cloudy weather with temps in the low 50s all morning.

I am in. Because I love sleep, I vote for 9, but will manage 8 too. Please tell me where we meet (8th and Penn on Cap Hill? Is there a Gtown pick-up?). Thanks Anne Marie

How far is the ride out to Poolesville and back? I would think around 60, but just want to verify. Thanks

P-ville and back is roughly 70-80+ depending on which way you go.

To the T in Seneca and back is 56 (at least from the Hill)

Georgetown to Poolesville is about 65.

I'll see you in Georgetown at around 8:20.

If I manage to wake up early enough, I'll join at Wisconsin & Reservoir. I'd turn around at the T though, not go all the way out to Poolesville.

Big thanks to Amy and Eric for giving me the once over today and AJ and Karen for hooking me up with a ride back home, and all you other good Samaritans for making sure all was well.

The road rash has been scrubbed, and it doesn't look all that bad.

I think my bike was the one who came out the worst, luckily!

Be safe out there.

Andy
