Good to hear. Rest of the ride (at least the T group) was uneventful. Any bike damage besides the spokes and some bar tape?

Because I have a weird sense of humor, it is worth nothing that Andy's last post before this ride was warning someone not to cross wheels:).

Same thing happened to a group of roadies at Conte's on Tuesday night. Unforutnately one guy was taken away in an ambulance with a broken collar bone (and he is getting married in 3 weeks). Thankfully no one was badly hurt today.

Kudos to Andy (and Ryan) for keeping such a good attitude. Definitely a demonstration of good sportsmanship!

Anybody riding tomorrow?

I know a lot of people are doing the Kinetic events this weekend, but I was hoping to get in a moderately paced ride to the T and back before racing Sunday.

I was hoping to join the ride (leaving from the Hill) for the first time tomorrow, so I would also be interested to know if it is happening. Thanks. Sarah

Anyone not doing the du and want to ride early (18-20mph pace), around 6:30am this Sat.? I'm looking to get in 2.5 hours and finish up at Haines Point for a 30 min. run. Then see if they need any help with the bbq after the du.

Courtney, we could use some help after...probably helping me jam everything back into my car. Think I'm bringing 4 coolers and an extra grill.

Lauren, I'm just going to start from where I live in Ballston and bike down to Gtown. Figure I can leave my place around 6 or a little after. Then once in Gtown just head out from there towards McAurther out towards River. I've only done that route a few times and once with the DC Tri crew so not sure of any other routes out that way. I believe it was about a 40 mile trip total.

Hugh, I'll be there to help you!

A few of us are heading out SAT MAY 15 @ 6:30a from CAP HILL.. 6:45a from G-TOWN. Going out to Poolesville (74m/63m respectively) on a steady minimal stop ride. Read: stop only one real time at Poolesville for nutrition, bathroom, etc.

Hey Eric,

Do you guys just roll through Wisconsin and M then? I might just plan to ride at 6:45 with you guys. I'll have to cut it short and come back on my own b/c I don't need to get that many miles in. Laura, do you want to start at 6:45a w/ the group instead?

Just so you know, Poolesville Road Race will be going on pretty much all day. You may find some of the roads you normally travel on closed. You may have to turn around on River before it turns into dirt/Gravel.
