What about a start time of 6:30a from Cap Hill and roll through G-town around 6:45a? The Arlington group joining in @ G-town. Sound good? We can head to Poolesville with longer options if people are interested. Looks like the weather will be as nice as can be expected.

Great ride guys. Really appreciated the strong steady tempo. It's not everyday you get pulled over on your bike!

Eric--Were you ticketed for speeding?

(Didn't that happen to him in IM Germany, during the bike leg--on the Autobahn?..)

I got off with a warning- he was actually pretty nice, but that let the rest of the group catch up because I was on the side of the road explaining I needed to keep my speed high in order to merge off Whitehurst freeway. He wasn't happy I beat him on the merge.

Hi everyone. New to the forum (but not the sport). Would love to join you on Saturday morning - where do you pick VA folks up in Georgetown?

The Georgetown pickup is usually at Wisconsin & M, in the parking lot behind the PNC bank. The group doesn't stop there though, so you have to be watching for them starting to come up Wisconsin.

You don't have to be middle-aged to have a crisis- I've proven that all my life. And I'm constantly surrounded by all my wonderful like minded friends in the tri club. Travis- just keep up ok?

This Sat 8/21, Poolesville departing the hill 6:30am, G-town pick up about 15 min later at 6:45.

I think a lot of peeps are racing and/or out of town. So it should be a pretty chill ride, no 21 mph average since most of the workhorses are out of town.

Hi,

I am looking to do the ride on Saturday. However, I am always discourage because of the high tempo and drop policies. Any chance this Saturday, the group or at least some of you will be averaging around 18-19 mph? I would be nice to have some company. Also never done the Poolsville ride..more details on the plan? thanks

Hi Delisse,

I am going to ride a solid 18-19 mph on Saturday and promise not to drop you no matter the speed. I know the poolsville route. Will starting be at Gtown. What time have we settled on?

Hey Anne Marie,

Awesome! Muchas Gracias.

Looking at previous posts, I believe the start time would be at 6:45 am at G-town (Wilson and M, parking lot behind PNC bank). See you there! I ride a black Specialized and will be wearing a purple/white jersey and black shorts.

Chad I plan on riding as a MAMIL tomorrow, being 36 with a 10 month old daughter I probably qualify. I may turn around early and not go to Poolesville

Good morning. I'm a new member and will see you in G'town at 6:45 on Sat. Looking forward to working hard on the ride. Please post cue sheet or general map link if you have it handy. Thanks. Kate
