Now I have to dispel the rumors.

She beat me only once...at the Club Championships 2007. And it was by a mere 56 seconds.

Is that what forced your retirement? ;-)

Sounds like a fun group headed out tomorrow. I have to bail for a 2nd week in a row. Giving a go at the training tri and a lite volume week for me. Have fun gang, I'll join back up next weekend...

Anybody actually in town this weekend and riding?

Thinking ~2-hour ride, since I know a lot of us are racing next weekend.

I'd be in for an easy 2 hour ride, since I'm doing Nations. Trying to follow Eric up the rolling hills of River Rd does not sound like it it would be an easy ride:).

Thanks everybody for your help last week with my derailer issue. I appreciate the group effort to help determine the issue and sorry to hold up the ride. Will bring some sort of goodie as thank you (please advise on the right social outing). Rode back to Arlington in the same gear (frustrating) and it was fixed in 2 minutes (more frustrating)...it was the C bracket holding the derailer, not the detrailer itself. I wouldn't have been able to id or fix it myself. See you after the holiday. K

I am in for a ride on Saturday....! Expecting slightly weaker legs after IM Louisville last weekend, but a couple of hours would be good I suppose. What time out of M and Wisc.....?

7:45 at Wisc & M (PNC Bank Parking lot) sound good?

I'm planning to make the turn at Oaklyn Dr. (~mile 20) to head back for a 20 min Z2 run along the canal.

7:45 works for me. If anyone is fealing eager, I am looking to get in between 70 - 80 miles, so out to Poolesville with a few loops and then back.

Looking to see if anyone will be riding Saturday. I am not doing Nations, so I need 1 more long ride before the Savageman.

If you ride a B pace, I'm there. If not, I am always looking for a B paced group ride. Would LOVE suggestions...preferrably early and Saturdays. It seems like it doesn't exist. :)

Free Trek Jersey (size medium)
POSTED: 9/09/10 4:20 PM

I was slated to lead some course tours for Nation's Tri this Saturday but am now unable to do them. The tours are sponsored by Trek and they will provide you a bike/helmet to wear on the tour and give you a bike jersey that you are able to keep. (unfortunately, no free bikes on this one)

I need someone that is able to wear a size medium jersey and ride a 56cm bike because that's what they had sent for me.

The tours will go off at the following times and can be split up among two other volunteers we've got scheduled:
11 AM
Noon
12:30 PM
2:00 PM
3:30 PM
5:00 PM
6:30 PM

If you are interested, please email me by clicking on my profile. Thanks!

Hi everyone. Hope those who did Nation's enjoyed it.

I'd like to hit 80-90 on Saturday morning, and will likely head out a bit past Poolesville, etc. Planning to take the TT bike unless there are others who want to get that sort of distance, in which case I'd swap out for the road bike and some company!

Anyone planning to log serious miles in the next several weeks in preparation for November 140.6's?

I am looking to log some long mileage in preparation to B2B IM in November. Need to switch my days this weekend and do a long run on Sat and then my long bike on Sunday. So if I can convince ya to ride on Sunday, you'd have some company. Otherwise, I'm down to have some company for 90+ mile rides for the next month or so. Runs too for that matter...

So who's in for the ride tomorrow? If there are any takers, I'm thinking 8:00am departure from the Hill and heading out to Great Falls or the T. Trying to get the legs back in shape without killing myself.

Time change:

Saturday: 8:30 a small group will depart from Hill and roll through G-Town ~8:50. I'll try to stay on as long as I can.

I am interested in joining tomorrow morning, leaving from in front of the dunkin' donuts on 8th St at 8:30? I bike at a slower pace (16-18mph) but can do my best to keep up at least initially, how far are you planning? I am doing the B2B half in November and need to get my mileage up, but I have the wilson bridge half marathon on Sunday so I don't want to kill my legs too much.
