In for Sunday! Anyone else?
The weather looks pretty good for Sunday. I was planning on doing the Bike Rack ride, but will join other DC Tri folks if there is a critical mass.
Sounds good. We can join the bike rack ride on Sunday. Just let me know! Cheers, Adriana
I'd be up for the Bike Rack ride - I've never been, but the description sounds good to me.
I've not been outside yet this year and I've got a new bike, so I have no idea what my speed will be! I'll just be happy to be off the trainer :)
Who's up for a 9am start given the percentage chance of rain?
Looks like it diminishes to nothing by 10am so 9am will be a drizzle at most...anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
I'd be cool with pushing it back to a 9am start if it means I'll get to suck your wheel out to River...
We're still talking about Saturday AM, right?...ahem, that is the title of this thread ;)))
I'd be cool with that.
The later we go, the faster we go so we'll be back at about the same time, right?
I am in for Saturday at 9. Extra sleep is always good especially after this week.
Damn...the report keeps getting worse and worse...and I am not training for an Ironman so I don't need to be uncomfortable riding in this crap....
now it looks like 60% chance up until 1pm....
If it is raining don't count on me being there...however I will be at 8th and Penn SE at 9 am on Sunday...and yes Andy I am talking about Sunday now...
If the weather radar shows the rain moving out and/or not hitting us at 8:30am I will be there tomorrow morning...however...if it is raining at 8:45...don't count on me being there....
Sunday is on like donkey kong, booties, gloves and all....Love Spring in DC!!!
BTW, Eric is out for Sat.....
I am up for riding Sun. Chad, you rolling through gtown say...9:20?
Sorry so late Ryan but yes give or take 5-10 min we will def be there!!!
Supposed to have a high of 83(!!!) on 4/25 and Partly Cloudy...just sayin'.
A friend and I hope to ride about 50 miles on Saturday morning, and wondered if any slower groups planned to ride. We usually average about 15 mph, and are training for Ironman Louisville.
I think I posted in the wrong place before, so will go ahead and repeat myself here. I'm training for Eagleman, am new to DC Tri, and am trying to figure out the deal with the Saturday ride. I can't seem to find you. Do you all go regularly? Am I missing something? I'd be the one hanging out on the corner of Wisconsin and M at 8:20 on Saturday mornings wearing spandex... Thanks. -Susan
Sash -- Hang in there. The Sat ride thus far has been less regular than last year. You would indeed be at the right place at the right time. Keep checking this spot for news, and you might check other ride postings for Sat too.
We have been passing by G-town pretty regularly the last few weekends and plan to as long as the weather is nice. Since we start in Capitol Hill the estimated time can vary as to when we roll through G-town, and we do roll through and not really stop (although we usually get stuck at the light). We ride north (up the hill) on Wisconsin across M St and all the way to Reservoir Rd. when we take a left. But the known meeting spot is just north (40 ft) of the intersection on the right hand side of Wisconsin at the Bank driveway. So hang in there it might be closer to 8:30 some mornings, but since we don't stop there it's good to be early.
I'm weighing several options for long rides tomorrow morning while cautiously eyeing the weather forecast. Is Poolesville a thought for anyone in this group tomorrow? After Richmond last Sunday, I think I'd welcome a little rain anyway.
Who's going to be around this weekend for a ride? Looking at possibly doing a Poolesville loop or maybe just to the Seneca T. Any thoughts? Also, now that it's getting lighter earlier - do you all want to roll at 7am?
I'm in....I 2nd the 7 am start.
