Thanks for all the info and drphungky for offering to swing by Eastern Market, I'm good with meeting up at M & Wisc at 9.

It wasn't that cold, except maybe feet and hands. I was fine, but I definitely sported two pairs of gloves, and my booties are neoprene and wetsuit thick, so I may be the exception.

Anyway, still in previously mentioned mileage bet with my boss, still looking to hammer out some mileage to catch up - not particularly worried about speed. Anyone interested in tomorrow? Because if not I may try to do the W&OD by myself. I know he's planning on doing something crazy, so I have to not only match him, but exceed him.

gonna be riding at results at capitol hill from about 7:30-9:45 (overlapping with the 8 and 9am classes). Sounds like there might be 2 others. I can take a guest. let me know if you're interested in going us!

Thanks for the offer. I ended up doing laps at Hains Point. A lot of laps. Like 90 miles worth. Luckily the first 40 went fast since some guys from Spokes were there on a group ride and let me hop in.

If you guys are going again sometime, let me know. Now that I'm not just in it for long steady mileage, an actual workout with others would be refreshing.

I'm planning to bike on Saturday and head over to Georgetown with one or two others from Capitol Hill. I can meet you at Penn/8th at 8am and bike over to Georgetown with you. Tgalbert, it would be safer to say we'll be at the G-town meetup spot at 8:30/40.

sounds good. I'll be there at around 820ish, and hang out till I see yall. Just look for a ginger with a yellow helmet, no soul. I'll try to jump in when I see you all.

I'll try to wear something DC Tri related so you can throw rocks or something at me and let me know it's you all.

dbowe - Look for me at the Dunkin Donuts at Pennsylvania and 8th St. SE at 8am, it's right next to the Eastern Market Metro.

Definitely. But we could have used at little bit of a breeze; all that still air and warm temperatures made the ride dull :X

Note to self, buy neoprene booties....

See you guys on the next ride!

consider toe covers. You can use those in races and they'll get you through most riding in cold weather.

Just starting the season - what is the speed of the ride usually? I live on the Hill as well.

I'm riding Saturday from Eastern Market metro station starting at 7am. I'm going to put in around 50 miles and I'm probably stopping at sbucks on the way back.

I can ride Saturday. I need to put about 60 in but will be glad to do 50 with you. WHat's your intended speed? Is anyone else interested in riding this Sat at 8am?

Hey guys. I'm down for a Saturday morning ride. Echo ArmyDoc's question - intended speed? Wisconsin and M at 8:00?

I can do 60 and I'll push it if need be. But I'd like to leave earlier if possible because I don't want training to eat up my day.

It's hard to judge speed because of all the intersections, hills, and other obstacles. So it comes down to whether we want to be in the pain cave or not. I am riding a tri bike and I'd like to be on my aerobars if possible, espcially with the first part of the ride necessarily spent on the bullhorns.
