perfect I need a zone 2 ride to great falls and back. see you at 8!
i was at 8th and pennsylvania at start time last weekend, but only saw one other person. or i was btwn 7th and 9th because there is no 8th and pennsylvania. did i miss something?
Were you there at 7? If so, I think you may have been in the wrong location because there was a pretty good sized group there. We meet at 8th and Penn SE, possibly you were in NW?
Either way, sorry to miss you. I heard that we also missed someone else but the group almost always rolls out right on time.
I hope we can catch everyone again next week.
My guess is you missed it starts from the Hill in south east. There is an 8th and Penn SE.
If that person you saw was a female with a black and red cycling shorts and shirt, and what looked like her kid almost next to her on his bike(That would have been me). You were in the right spot. You should go over and ask if they are the DV Tri ride.
There's a map link on the very first post of the basic "short" loop. Even though we generally ride longer during the spring/summer it shows the route in and out of town. Hope it helps- here it is again:
See you all out there!
L'Enfante's diagonal streets can be confusing but, in plain English, the group meets at the Dunkin Donuts just east of the Metro stop.
Doe anyone have a cue sheet or map link for a 65-75 mile ride, ideally leaving from NW DC?
Is anyone up for a long ride on the eve of the Summer Solstice? I'm headed out to Sugarloaf with at least one stop each way, probably at the grocery store in Poolesville. My pace is about 17 mph.
Pls post here or e-mail me at:

Alright its a Saturday so that means I am heading to Sugarloaf...so original. I am thinking 7AM start on the hill which now means 7:10 with a pick up in G-town at 7:30.
Anyone interested in a 55 mile ride saturday leaving around 830-9ish from Gtown? I'm probably a 15+ mph pace... email@example.com
Joe- I want to go to Poolesville. 7am works for me. Peanut gallery, thoughts?
I'm IN for 7am to Poolesville. I'm sure there will be plenty more to draft behind right?
Unless Paul leads the group out from Great Falls like last time...then you will be conducting your own little TT out to the T...is that alliteration?
Assuming I don't get drunk tonight I am in for poolesville as well
Poolesville? Thats cool if you all want to get a short ride in. I thought Saturday was supposed to be a long ride, but maybe with the extra time you guys can all go braid your hair or get a pedicure or something*. :-)

I'm in for the Poolesville ride at 7 am. I'm heading out to Sugarloaf for 110 miles or so if anyone else is going long. (the cue sheet says 91 though. I'll have to tack on a few). Here's the cue sheet for Sugarloaf (almost same route as Saturday's rides leaving from G'town.):
I'm in for Sugarloaf ride as well. Thanks for cue sheet because now I can do it at my own pace (and not hang on for dear life again) :) See you in Gtown.
After my "short" ride last saturday I'm game for Sugarloaf, as long as someone knows the way. Eric, Patrick, can I persuade you to come along? I'm out Sunday so this is my ride for the next 6 days, it needs to be long.
I've got stay within ear shot (or about an hour) of Capitol Hill so I'm sticking with Poolesville... because we ALL know that's only about an hour ride back to town. You could always add another 4 long laps down at Hains Point on the way back. Aren't sprints good at the end of a work out?
