You have to be a member of Sport & Health. Monthly memberships are possible. I figure to swap out to Hains Pt. come June 1.

Glad you're better.

Personally, I'm undecided for tomorrow morn; rode long today and may swim Monday in the morn or later.

Ed--I'm still down with tomorrow night at CU--could you manage one more person in your car? Rachel goes to S&H and is in the NTP. She lives in Crystal city. What time is pick up?

Agreed! Now Ed has both of our usernames here :)

I may be able to pull off a CU swim if I go in early......the brick nic sounds fun--but I checked it out--no swimming just bike and run?

Ooops - inaccurately remembered the Bricknic details, too many training events in my brain! I'm happy though - no wet suit necessary :) See you there perhaps!

he he no worries. I'm trying to find an open water swim practice...Ed--I'm heading to masters on Wednesday morning from 530-7. Rachel is the missing link--palomine84! I saw her last night at sport and health doing drills w/ the NTPs. I was doing arm drills b/c I did my own version of a sprint tri on Sunday (opted out of the Cherry blossom 10 miler) and my legs are beat!

Bricknic yes: no swim. Open water swims tough now in cold early spring. Swims at Sandy Pt. will be coming when things warm up.

I'm probably going to the CU swim Wednesday eve, leavingn early c 5:15 to get in long yardage.

Swim Groups (CU? Crystal City?)
POSTED: 4/08/09 12:43 PM

Hi all -

I'm new to the DC Tri Club - and am not familiar with all the different spots to train and such.

I did go to the Pentagon a week ago for a practice...but was also looking for other loations and times.

Does anyone mind telling me or letting me know where I can get information about the CU / Crystal City swims?

Thanks much -
Cary

*If anyone also knows of some good biking groups for a...well...challenged biker (i.e. I stink at it) - I'm all ears!

Hey Guys-

I'm probably going to be swimming tonight at Crystal City if anyone is interested..i have a sweet workout and have no problem sharing :)

I'll probably be there around 545-6ish wearing a bright orange bathing suit and a bright pink cap (hard to miss...)

For those interested in tri-ing out the Crystal City pool, just in time for race season, Sport & Health is offering a free month trial membership there. I have the coupon for it, or I imagine you can just get one from S&H.
