It was pretty sweet out there this eve with the sun breaking through. The Kirsten Kontino express rolled by. Hope to return at dawn, last ride before a week-long biz trip/vacation.

Is OK to ride in the morning rides if one hasn't gone on a group ride before?

It's definitely okay to ride with us if you haven't done group riding before. If you're curious about anything, please just ask. We'd rather have everyone learn to be safe, knowledgeable riders than have people not ask questions and not be sure how it works.

We have a thread with a very comprehensive list of basic group riding etiquette Here to help get you started. It's a long list but there are some very good points in there.

I'm planning to try to make it there tomorrow but am not sure if I can do it and get to work on time. I'll have to make a game time decision tomorrow.

I may be there depending on family cooperation (kid to get to school; husband to work) - whoa is me. I'll be on a blue FELT and will try and don DC Tri wear. I'll be near the back of the pack : )

Tuan - are you doing the practice tri next Sat. I've read som much about your swimming that I would like to see you swim in person. Bet you are better than you say you are!

6:30 am on Ohio Drive and the river side, between the tennis courts and the golf course. Weather permitting.

Yes- standard ride days are Tuesday and Thursday, and as Ed said- weather permitting. But I think there are plenty of other riders down there the rest of the week too. Especially if one of the T/Th rides gets rained out.

fyi to anyone hoping to ride hains point this week: this AM the loop was gated off with a road closed sign and guarded by a police car. might stay that way until july 4th...

does anyone know if that means the pool is closed too?

No, the pool should still be open.
