We were still out there doing loops on the long leg- would have been good to get an extra pull from you.
Bummer. Yeah Andy just informed me of this. Instead I came to work early and have been running laps in my cube.
Gorgeous, cloudless dawn out there this morning. Nice.
Shaalini and I will be at Hains tomorrow morning - are people meeting up at that parking lot before the ride (where the practice tri was)?
Usually the group meets at Buckeye and Ohio on the corner. Tomorrow morning if it is raining...there probably won't be many people there though...
In case of rain, make sure to bring your swim goggles and wetsuit. We'll do the standard swim-bike combined workout. Put your bike shoes on FIRST before your wetsuit.
The ride this morning was AWESOME.
Uh, no more 30mph lead outs please...my legs and lungs didn't like me too much afterwards...this morning was a new meaning of pain...Mt. Weather repeats were a joke after this morning...ugghh...soooooo tired....
Lol, pain is fun. Can we do that every Tue/Thurs?
It was even more AWESOME if you got there at 6a for the "warm up" laps. Whose idea was that?
Your's and Marc's apparently...then just yours.. ;)
On tomorrow's schedule: 26 miles (~1:20) at z1 with 3x10 mins at z5. So after a warm up, that would be most of about 3 long laps (up to the turnaround at the Lincoln and back a little), before slowing WAY down and starting again at the gate by the golf course entrance. Anyone welcome!
So to interpret for everyone...
Patrick's Zones -
Zone 1 = ~22mph
Zone 5 = 26-32mph...
Do I have that correct Patrick?
I read it as "Hi everyone I am going to pull for 30 minutes hang on for dear life if you can." - Love Patrick.
Sounds fun...I'm bummed I won't be able to join. My orbea frame has a nice crack in it and headed back to the factory hopefully to be covered under warranty. Anyone have a spare bike I could borrow (size 54)?
Yes Patrick, I would LOVE to suck your wheel! =)
I'll lead out the "warm up" lap.
I wish I could drag my slow tail out there. I'll be in the departure lounge at Dulles as you guys are getting warmed up.
L
where are you all meeting?
Thanks to everyone who stopped this morning to help me pick up the pieces after wiping out. Glad no one else got tangled up with me. Luckily nothing is seriously hurt, and hopefully I can repair the bike damage without too much cost ... (yea right).
