Thanks!

Anyone want to ride tomorrow? It will be a bit dark, but it will be above 50. It's going to rain overnight, but the forecast says it should be over by 2-3 AM.
I hope lots of you can make it out. There have been a few dedicated souls out in the mornings recently. If you're looking to get faster this year, NOW is the time to join this ride so you can ride the wave to fitness and more power with the group. The speeds when we go fast are still comfortably under 30mph. I think we're all out of shape.
I'm out for a week with a lacerated and immobilized finger that makes braking impossible (unless anyone's got a bike with coaster brakes I can borrow).
Patrick: Found a bike for you during your rehab:

Brakes are overrated. I'll be down there tomorrow morning unless it's raining.
You use the brakes? I guess that's what the other hand is for.
Lovely warm morning today. Thursday looks like more of the same, if not warmer, and while it is not quite dawn, it's certainly light enough for safe riding.
I will be out at HP around 4:45 today.
I'll be out again tomorrow. S/B perfect weather.
I was shooting to make it out in the morning tomorrow, but think I'm going to opt for a PM ride instead.
Anybody up for a ride around 5:30 or 6 PM tomorrow?
-Brady
Brady,
I will be out at HP from about 5:15-6:30, but not if its raining.
Any thought on riding HP with all the cherry blossom tourists? I've never done it. Safe? Parking?
I'm not sure I'd call it unsafe, but you've got to watch it. Lots of extra cars, and many of them aren't paying much attention to the road. So you have to slow down and pay attention much more than normal.
Not positive about parking since I ride there, but I'm pretty sure you can still find a spot without too much difficulty. I was down there this weekend and remember seeing some spots along the road.
The tourist blossom traffic in the afternoons is usually terrible, to the point that it may not be worth going down. Especially if gets nicer out and more people go. It's not always as easy as dodging cars when they take up both lanes and buses are cruising. Good luck.
At 3:30 pm today the traffic on the short loop wasn't bad; the traffic on the long loop was impassible.
I'll be down there tomorrow assuming its dry.
I'm planning to head out again this evening - ~6pm. Like Ed said, It wasn't that bad on Tuesday, a little traffic on Ohio Dr near the tennis courts, but gate to gate wasn't horrible.

Thanks to the group this morning for slowing it up for about 10 seconds on that last lap. Great workout- Richard, Nicholas, Elliot. See you next week.
Yes, I'm going to roll by there too before HH, head to the Arlington Hills if it's too crowded.
