Looks like a good chance of rain tomorrow. If it's not raining at 6 and the radar looks pretty clear, I'll be out there at 6:30. Plan is for steady state (21-24mph), followed by a short run (one short loop).

Bring your running shoes!

I'm in for the ride, hopefully sans rain.

Alternate Workout from Craig's group that's preparing for a Sunday TT:

•1 long loop easy
•5 short loops with ascending pace kilos on whichever side has a tail wind (#1: 25 mph, #2: 26mph, #3: 27mph, #4: 28mph, #5: 29mph)
•easy spinning between each kilo
•2 long loops easy cooldown

Incidentally, a kilo is a kilometer (duh) and they are typically "measured" A) on the frontside from the gate to a yellow line before the parking lot that says "1 kilometer" or something obvious like that; or
B) on the back side from the first bathroom to the second one.

Craig's doing a better job than me of posting workouts, so I'm going to continue to piggyback and join the fun. For tomorrow:

"5 x long loops, each progressively faster (by a little bit). #1 fairly easy ascending in pace to #5 being fairly hard, but not super hard.

During the stop-sign-to-stop-sign section, we can ease off and regroup if anyone gets popped off the back.

I intend to get at least a 10-mile warmup prior to 0630."

I'm not going to be out in the morning cuz I'm heading to San Diego, but here's what the folks who will be riding tomorrow are planning to do--if it's not real wet:

5 long loops steady state...24-25 mph the entire way, easing off somewhat between the signs.

No ascending pace...just steady effort the entire ride.

Nice morning out there today. Unfortunately I didn't see any DC Tri peeps. What up?

Sorry I missed you Eric. I was out there by 0615, waited until 0630 and rolled out when no one showed. It was a beautiful morning. I'll be out again on Tuesday.
Cheers,
Wes

Anyone go down to HP this morning? Is it under water? Riding this eve if anyone is interested.

I heard someone went down so it should be fine. I'm trying to get there after work.

I was down this morning - it was a bit slick with the rain but there was no flooding. Should be fine this afternoon.

Anybody been getting out on the regular?

I'm planning to come out Thursday and hopefully I should start getting out on a more consistent basis again.

I think I can make my 2012 debut on Thursday.

Assuming I can roll my happy a$$ out of bed.

I'm new to this group and intend to ride tomorrow morning. Is it still on? Where do you all park?
