Ironman Mont-Tremblant in Quebec, Canada
IM Louisville .... my first :)
Cozumel. My first!
I'm looking for an Ironman 2012 Aquavelo - as can't run with arthritic knee at that distance. All I can find is Chesapeakeman. If anyone has any experience or advice on others in late August, September timeframe - let me know.
IM Florida November - my first.
I am reluctant to write this out, because that makes it real...
IM Louisville 2012
Me and a few folks (7-8), although not all are members, are in for Arizona.
Noticed two on this thread that are doing IMAZ. I just did it two weekends ago and its a great race. Shoot me an email, would be happy to give you some details/ insights and I can recommend the condo I stayed in, great location and very affordable.
IM Lousville 2012 - my first.
Doing it with a bunch of people I met doing my first IM in Cozumel, so should be a blast!
I'm doing Arizona in November. My first!
IM Arizona 2012.
Peak mileage on the bike in early November might be kind of lousy. Folks racing AZ or FL, we should consider getting a riding group together towards the end of summer/early fall. Trying to find other to ride 100+ miles in November might be a bit of a challenge.
Rev3 Full (Ohio), Sept 9
I was on the fence for awhile, but decided against Louisville for a few reasons:
1) I absolutely wither and die in the heat...still having flashbacks of Eagleman 2010
2) Cedar Point amusement park sounded like more fun for the kids than the Louisville Slugger museum :)
3) I wanted to drive and this race is 2 hrs closer
4) entry fee was cheaper ($325 vs. $600)
5) full refund policy in the event of injury and a free one-year deferral if you withdraw for any other reason (given my injuries this year, that seemed like a good thing to have)
On the con side, it is a smaller race (bigger than ChessyMan, smaller than Louisville) and lacks the IM atmosphere, but at the end of the day,the pros outweighed the cons and I need to cross this 140.6 thing off of my bucket list.
IM St George for number 4.
22 weeks to go, and just started training.
No snow this year please!
IMLP...as long as I stay injury free!
In for Coeur d'Alene. Apparently I do anything Janie Hayes tells me.
I'm jealous of you Lake Placid people. It is, in a word: amazing.
In for St. George.
Looking forward to once again be in the co-ed T-2 changing tent of an European iron distance race. Won't be as deer in the headlights this time when a beautiful young European female volunteer asks me if I need help changing in the T-2 tent.
In for #4 ... Challenge Copenhagen
