Got some folks doing the century ride on Sat. As the website says it's a good route with great support and nice scenery. Some hidden hills. Start is only about an hour outside DC. Plan is to get there around 0700-0715 ish and try to start by 7:30 or so. Speed is "make it" speed.

Good luck on this ride. I did it a few years ago right after a tropical Storm had just past through. Weather was great but there was still flooding and down trees, l ooks like you might get some of that this year.

I'll get there to meet you. Any chance anyone has the cue sheet? They don't seem to have it online anywhere.
Are you saying speed is "make it fast" speed?

In.

Dithering between the English and Metric century, as want to ride Sunday too.

They hand out the cue sheets the morning of the race inside the school. Also, if I remember correctly, the turns are marked on the road. At the risk of alienating Vietnamese Royalty, I'm in for the full instead of doing Sunday's ride. Sorry, Tuan, but they have a post-race buffett :-)

I'm also in. I have not pre-registered so I will be there by 7AM sharp to register and be ready to leave by 7:30AM. I hope I will recognize some of you guys. I don't have DC TRI gear but I'll have a red jersey and ride a Cervelo, so please do not leave me behind! Thanks. (I had to quit the Reston Century after only 30 miles due to mechanical problems so this my revenge!)

Carlos.

IN, mainly for the rest stops and post ride buffet. I'm not sure what "make it" speed is, but I will be going "I've reached the fun portion of my season" speed.

We will probably go for only 25-50 easy miles (good way to stretch the legs). I'm w/Karen, maily going for the rest stops and yummy buffet. Cheers and see you guys there! A&M.

Well I was thinking about doing this century but not after Tuan's posting! I am already out next week since I will be racing Diamondman.

Phew, I'd forgotten about all those 'rolling' hills. Add the headwind and it made for a tough day (that's what happens when you bail on Vietnamese Royalty...). Curious if anyone knows the total elevation gain for the full 100 miles? I couldn't find the route anywhere online. Thanks.
