I did my first Tri. WHOOO HOO
It was a sprint. Rumpass in the Bumpass.
The water was 62. Not too bad after that initial gasp or 4. My times were not killer by any means but is was so much fun.
Thanks to my NTP mentor Sandy, who helped me out with advice, I didn't have any problems. I did get major cramps in my calves in the begining of the run but I waddled through it.
One thing I can say is take it easy the day before. I biked the Columbia road course the day before. I paid for it during the tri.
The people at the race were so nice.
My new pic is from the race.
Congrats. So is true what they said ... once you go tri you never go back ? :)
Looks like Jedi Master Sandy steered you right.
Her transition advice was great.
Congrats! And welcome to a lifetime of addiction :-)
I believe the phrase is:
Tri -- Or Tri Not -- There Is No Du
Good race my newbie has had. Done well for first time has he. But "Virgin" will we still call him.
Sandy will you be my mentor?
I sense a great disturbance in the Force. I have a bad feeling about this. :)
Triathlete this one is now. Strong with the triathlon he is. His future we will see... yeeeeeeeeeesss.
Awesome! Nice job! When's the next one?
great job! or job, great!
Next one. Hmmm any suggestions. I saw the ITU posted. I must continue to train. TRI master will you continue to impart your wisdom on me. :)
