Although this is meant to be an off-season motivator and friendly competition, it would be beneficial to all participants if USAT enforced the same rules and gave the same "allowances" to all. Or at least announced a rule change :)
[I thought San Diego got DQ'd. They aren't showing up in the Overall Division 1 standings now, but they show up when you click on Swim Session.]
EDIT: Never mind. They are back on the leaderboard.
For what it's worth, the Wednesday night track crew did a stairs-only workout tonight because the track was frozen.
My garmin showed 1 mile after about 30 minute of stairs, so I counted 1 mile in my NCC mileage.
And before everyone competing in the NCC starts celebrating that they're beating the club board members, just know that the board average is incorrect right now. We're getting that fixed, but many of you are not beating us yet!
So get out there and swim, bike, and run!
The board average has been corrected! Thanks, Bryan, for catching the error.
YAY! Now, at some point, I should log my miles for the past few days! I'll get around to it soon, I hope!
San Diego is kicking our butts for bike month - do we have any hope?
Monday is suppose to be decent weather and I am going to go for a long ride out the W&OD from Shirlington and pedal my butt off and then turn around and pedal some more.
Come on DC Tri Peeps - Pedal to the Metal - or something like that.
Even the Cyclonauts are ahead of us! :(
oh that is so so so bad.
I haven't been following the results too closely so I don't know how much San Diego's lead on us has fluctuated, but it was at 2000 and now is closer to 1800 so we are making up some ground. That's only 24 miles per person on the team, so let's keep at it this weekend and take advantage of the nice weather and day off some may have on Monday and see if you can't fit in an extra 1-2 hours of riding to close that gap.
I'm not affiliated with them at all so this is a free plug, but I've been using trainerroad.com to give me some variety and it is a nice way to make it through 1-2 hours on the trainer without getting bored since the workout focus shifts every 5-10 minutes.
What's happening to us? San Diego and Cyclnots - (whatever) - are hammering us in bike month. I am sad and despondant. What are we to do? I'll bike until my legs fall off Thurs & Friday and crawl to Ron's OSS class on Saturday... Help peoples. Help.
