Hey
It's time for me to choose my health plan, and thereby my doctor. Does anyone have any recommendations for a primary care physician who isn't going to treat me like some kind of mental patient when I tell him/her that I go for 100 mile bike rides on the weekends?
Has to be in the District, preferably within striking distance of the GW/Dupont/U St. corridoor.
Thanks!
OH
I dunno. Anyone who does 100-mile bike rides probably should seek counseling! :-)
BTW, welcome back to the DC area. I wish that I was more than a sporadic resident these days myself...
If you find one, let me know. My PCP's husband is an IronMan, so she mostly gets it, but she's in Friendship Heights (I'm in Cap Hill).
She's kind of worth the trek, though, if you want her name. PM me.
It's tough to find a good doctor in DC that is accepting patients, let alone one that knows athletes. Lots of doctors around here won't have openings, or if they do, they don't accept insurance. If you find one, please post.
I ended up going out to Bethesda, but he's a good one. Dr. Christopher Duke, accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Dr. Kyle Anders. He's a casual cyclist and willing to spend the time to answer any and all questions, something pretty rare these days it seems. 202-865-6625.
Thanks Herminator! And THANKS everyone else - I'll check them out. I would rather stay as close to home as possible just because...I'm lazy. So it looks like Kyle Anders is going to be a fairly decent bet. But if others want to keep posting suggestions, I'm open to them.
:)
OH
She comes reccomended by a doctor friend of mine...
