Yes, but not because of the sharks.

I'm surprised no one made a joke about people in D.C. already swimming with sharks (lawyers, lobbyists, congressmen, etc.).

Anyway, this was way down in St. Mary's County. Even if there were a shark up here, I doubt it would attack during a triathlon. I would think that sharks would get scared off by the mass of swimmers. And there are police boats nearby. Maybe one of them has a tranquilizer dart gun or one of those bean bag shooters to use any shark that approached the athletes.

I'm not too worried about this.
