Forgive me if this question was asked and answered. I was away from DC and a computer for about 11 days. Does anyone know if the water of Lake Anna will be warm enough to go without a wetsuit?
From some of the Lake Anna fishing reports I've seen for the past week or so, the water temperature is in the high 70s and even reaching the low low 80s. That's like bath water. :)
You are welcome to wear a wet suit if you want to wear one, but it will definitely not be needed. [I believe USAT rules say 78-85 degrees is wetsuit optional for races.] The purpose of the Lake Anna swim is to get the NTPers used to just swimming in open water (i.e. not swimming pools). :)
See you out there!
