Hey, I didn't see this race on the race section of the website. I just signed up for the olympic distance with a few other DC Tri-ers.

Anyone else?

Did anyone here do this event last year? What is the weather like/water temp?

Thanks,

For the past two years, the weather has been warm (some would say hot) and sunny. Plus, the Oly usually doesn't start until 10am, so you can drive down race day morning. It is a great race, beautiful course and extremely well-organized. I highly recommend it.

I did the sprint last year. cold in the a.m., but you'll be fine in your wetsuit. really fun, chill race. part of the run is through the woods, the bike course is open but well directed... i may do it again.

what time would we have to leave if the event starts at 10am?

Can we get this posted to the race page?

Cool, I'll be racing the the Olympic.

Its about a 90 minute drive from DC, and the line for day-of packet pick up can be a bit long - just a heads up.

Good luck this weekend everyone! I hope the weather holds for you.

Last year, not very entertainingly, it rained for like 4 out fo the 7 races I did. Don't fret. Just start cautiously on the bike!

In case some of you all didn't see on the website, the water temp was posted. It was 68 degrees at 4pm yesterday. Not as terrible as I was expecting.
