National Marathon Brunch?
POSTED: 3/05/09 9:46 PM

Alrighty folks, there is a tentative brunch planned following the National Half and Full Marathons on March 21 (Saturday). Who is intersted? I want to get numbers and see if there is enough interest to warrant a room reservation.

Roll call here...!

I'm interested. And you can plan to make a day out of it by helping me move afterwards. Come on, marathon, brunch and a move.... Anyone?..... Bueller?

Lori-

I'm in. I'm spectating/cheering and I am pretty sure that can make a person ravenous.

Are they running metro early for the race? Normal first train on weekend is ~7am. You might need to make alt plans...

Hawk and Dove can be accessed via Capitol South or Eastern Market on the orange and blue lines. As far as the metro getting to the race, I have no idea...

The Race Webiste seems to encourage driving saying the entire RFK parking lot will be available, but they do indicate updated info about Metro will be available soon.

Count me in! I recommend the bacon with a side of french toast.

I'm in. I haven't missed a meal since 1984. Gotta keep that record alive.

I'm interested in brunch after the half - don't know if I'll have the patience to wait until after the marathon to eat but you might be able to convince me it's worth it. I'll drag lovely hubby along with me.

Who said anything about waiting? If you finish before the second wave even arrives, who would even know? And then you can have second brunch!! ;-)

I'm in, as this is going to be my first ever HM likely to finish with those doing the full marathon. Is it best to take metro from RFK to Hawk and Dove? I assume crowds will be brutal.

Do folks tend to bring clothes and just change right after they finish?
