Has anyone tried this and knows if it tracks distance in open water swimming?
Maybe the new bling I have to have this year.
DC Rain Maker has reviewed the product:
I use it, it is perfect to keep track of your long workouts at the pool, it gives you your split and workout time/distance/efficiency on the spot, later you can download everything to a website and see charts of how you performed and some other things like stroke count per length, distance per stroke and so on, you can check past workouts and see if you have improved on your pace/efficiency, it works flawlessly on the 25 meters pool, I had some trouble uploading some of my workouts but the support was great. Even though I use it on every workout I still don't know if it is worth 200 bucks, it has a lot of potential, firmware updates are delivered periodically fixing issues and sometimes adding some features.
By the way I am a data junkie, I like to have all my workouts on the computer, bike, run and now swim, see them compare them and all that, so this is what I was waiting for for a long time, but if you are not like me maybe a cheap lap counter will do the job.
Anyway overall I like it and I use it a lot, I bought it using a coupon and got it cheaper.
and use the tritalk15 coupon for 15% discount.
Enjoy your swim.
Thanks guys. It's sold out from that site - dang.
