Hello Tuan! I'm a newbie to the Club - moving to the area in August. I'll be in town this weekend & was planning on catching the Sunday morning ride.
- I need to drive into Gtown and park; can I park in the bank lot, or will they tow?
- does the ride go rain or shine?
Thanks & look forward to meeting you Sunday,
A. If you park in the bank parking lot, 1 of 3 things will happen.
1. The resident hobo that sleeps there will pee on your car or
2. It will be towed
3. #1 and #2
However, you can park on the street ... anywhere. Parking curbside in GTown is free on Sunday. No one is out there that earlier in the morning so you should have no issues parking.
B. Ride is rain or shine. If it ever gets canceledd (i.e., due to lightning), I'l broadcast an email message to all.
I typically ride with the saturday am group for DC Tri Club but would like to ride this sunday am instead. How many miles do you all typically do and what is the route?
The ride is coming to a close in the very near future. I send out cuesheets to the group before every ride. This weekend, I'm out of town so people will do whatever. The following week we are going 114. The week after that, 70. We will most likely shut down for the year after the week of the 70 miler.
To any peasants who have been left behind:
I'm planning on riding sunday morning. I'll be going to the T or Poolesville depending on how I am feeling. I will roll through g-town at 7am.
Does anybody have any cue sheets to head out that way? The maps keep crashing on me and I don't want to hold up the group. Just think how fast you'll feel when you fly past me! Thanks. email@example.com
This will get you to the T or Poolsville, or beyond:
I looked around yesterday and realized I don't have a cue sheet for the rides. I normally just wait for Tuan to yell left or right. Of course that is how we turned an 80 mile ride into a century last year.
Could someone on the email list forward me this week's ride email? Might actually be able to make a Sunday ride for once.
Email is firstname.lastname@example.org
