More info on the camping/training weekend will be coming soon!
Amanda Melillo and Dena Richardson are the leaders and organizers for this camping/training weekend.
They're working on the schedule of weekend activities and will post a link here and to the Camping/Training info page here.
Much of it will cover the Northeast course so that we can go up there and kick butt on Aug 24th!
Registration is now open! Reserve your spot!
Thanks Justin for setting this up, to Amanda and Robin for leading the camping/training weekend and to Amanda again for being the club race leader for Northeast!
Sign up now for your camping spot, super cheap since the club is paying ~80%, and for the Northeast Tri on Aug 24th!
All the info/links are in the first post of this thread.
Signed up with Gabi! We'll need to know out 100miles saturday and ~3hr run sunday. Yikes! Company please.... -- Pablo
In for camping, but not 100mi/3hrs. Sorry Pablo and Gabi.
I am unable to camp out on Friday night, but want to come up and stay overnight Saturday. Is this possible? I just don't want to take someone's camp site who will stay both nights.
I think that's totally fine Hugh. Amanda will keep track of how many people sign up and how many campsites we have so the quicker ppl sign up, the easier it'll be for her to work out the logistics.
It's a week before Chicago ITU for me so I think I'll do the planned 50 mile loop with a pit stop at the Northeast Community park which is the start/end of the race.
Yep, go ahead and sign up, Hugh. There are campsites still available at the park, and depending on sleeping arrangements, we'll likely need to reserve a few more anyway because only 2 tents are allowed per site.
19 so far and counting. Looking fwd to it!
I am only counting 16. Where did you get 19?
The discrepancy is from Eventbrite only showing who made the purchase and not how many tickets were bought. We're up to 21 total now!
Is there a tentative agenda for the training weekend?
More info and a basic itinerary including open water swimming, biking, running, bbq’ing, etc. can be found https://docs.google.com/document/d/15LLnq2Mu3VJvmcW3ZusmDoK9QQEM0MBLMe5EtNYdMQo/edit
Sales end June 18, 2014 12:00 AM.
Thanks to Amanda and Dena for organizing. Email them or post here with any questions but I think an email to all registrants is going out soon.
Feel free to organize carpools using this forum. Looks like about 23 people of of now.
See ya up there!

I am coming from Fairfax and am looking to carpool w/my bike. What time are you leaving?
I'm leaving from Crystal City around 6pm on Friday. I have room for another bike on my bikerack and another person with gear (maybe 2 people with gear, but it might be tight.
Hi Everyone, I'm leaving from Georgetown on Friday afternoon if anyone is looking to carpool. My car fits 2 bikes on the roof and a third inside. Thus, room for 3 w/ bikes and gear. Thanks so much to the organizers, looking forward.
I'm flexible I'm my departure time. Could you get up to Bethesda? There is a parking lot where a car could be left.
