POSTED: 6/15/09 12:30 PM

June 20, 2009
9:00am – 1:30pm
Patapsco Valley State Park, Maryland

Come join Gripped Racing team members and staff from Conte’s Bikes and Fitness to tune up your technical riding and racing skills along the trails of Maryland’s Patapsco Valley State Park. We’ll park and meet in the lot near the tennis courts at CCBC - please arrive with enough time to sign a waiver and be on your bike and ready to ride by 9am. Directions below.

It’s a great opportunity to perfect old skills, learn new ones, and have fun on some good trail! Experienced instructors will cover:

Cornering
Braking
Not Braking
Small, Medium, and Large Logs
Small, Medium, and Large Rocks
Rock Gardens
Wheel Drops
Bunny Hopping
Picking lines
Technical descending
Technical climbing
Log Rides (Skinnies)
Bike Physics (Why your bike doesn’t want to end up upside down)

All Participants will be required to sign a waiver prior to the event and helmets are required. Minimum age is 18. Please be sure to bring ample water and nutrition as June tends to be hot and humid in the area and remember to bring proper equipment for changing a flat and other minor mechanicals encountered while riding. We cannot provide water and mechanical equipment for everyone. Thanks for understanding!

Conte’s will have full-suspension bikes (both men’s and women’s) available to test-ride. An additional waiver / liability release may be required to ride one of their bikes.

Please RSVP by June 18th (we will need to contact in event of rain cancellation) to grippedracing@gmail.com
