I just had to cancel my room so there should be one more room open. Unfortunately, the doctor has forbid me to do the race on Sunday...so frustrating!
I'd be up for splitting the room
I'm driving myself and someone else to Rocketts on Saturday. Unfortunately, the bike rack I was going to use fell through and we can't fit my bike in the car. If anyone has a bike rack I can borrow or an extra space for a bike in their car, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
If anyone has room in their car for some DC Tri Gear (tent, coolers, food, etc), let me know. My car is FULL of people and their individual gear, so I can't bring it all.

Good luck to everyone racing down in Richmond this weekend! There's a big group rooting for you guys up in Lake Placid this weekend. Be really careful in the heat, but crush the competition! Go DC Tri!

Official results will be a while but, judging from the large number of DCT AG medals, another Mid Atlantic seems in store, despite water temps of 92, and air temps climbing to 94 and above during the run.
Thanks Abby for organizing the dinner. It was great. Today was my first olympic tri and it was a lot of fun. I loved seeing so many dc tri club ppl. Congrats everyone that raced and if you volunteered, thanks!
Well done everyone. I absolutely melted on the run. Saw some people looking real strong, which was tough in those conditions.
This was my first tri as a DCtri club member and have to say that I had an awesome time. I met some great people and look forward to meeting more at upcoming races. To Luke, Stephanie, and John and everyone else who rocked it today, well done!
Great times out there today! Thanks to all the volunteers.
Great work out there today! I can't wait to see the final results. I'm sure we crushed it. Sadly, the battery on my camera died before the huge group photo, but my guess is someone will post one soon...
Please have a look at this album and tag yourself if I missed you!
I will give you a one week break to bask in our Rocketts glory before I start harrassing you to USAT Club Nationals in Myrtle Beach on October 8th.
Go DC TRI!
Great job to everyone who raced today! We clocked some seriously fast times (honestly... a 1:57 Ben!?!) despite the temperatures. I think the tagline on the race website says it all: "You might as well be racing on the sun!"
I saw some wonderful teamwork out on the course today (including Patrick who let me draft off of him for the last 1,000m of the swim!) We had a pretty tight knit group of guys up in the top 15 in the race... it was very encouraging to see y'all several times on the bike and on the run. And we had far and away the best cheering (both by fellow athletes on the course and by the many fans who came to watch). Let's make it happen again at Nation's Tri in September, then again at Myrtle Beach in October!
And of course a huge thank you to Abby and Steve for all of the hard work they did in planning this!
Apologies in advance that this won't make sense to 99% of you and that it isn't another rah-rah DC tri post... but to the dude who I talked to about logistics for Ironman Wales - I didn't get the email you tried to send me. Please give it another shot (my username @ gmail.com).
Bunch of more fotos here:
Man - what a day! Huge props go out to Trevor who brought the club tent down, Abby for organizing the dinner, Steve for sticking around to collect all of the hardware for DC Tri, Matt and Adriana for bringing some of the food afterwards and to Hillary P. for being the support crew and cutting up the fruit (and her finger).
Way to go DC TRI! You guys are Awesome!!!
Great weekend, great race, great company! Congrats to w
Everyone who raced today! First time oly athletes, new PRs, overall winners, AG winners...DC Tri had some great success. Thank you Abby for working hard to put this together for us and thank you to all the others who volunteered and helped out! Wouldn't have been as great without all your hard work!
Does the spreadsheet not work for anyone else? How did we do?
