So it's not Total 200 and it's not Mountain Mama, but we're seeing if folks want to join for the Eat a Peach Century (and metric and 40 and 33 miler) this Saturday. It's a big, supported century out in Westminster, MD.
What: 100/67/40/33/12 miles of riding with 7K of climbing for the hundred mile ride
Where: Westminster, MD
When: This Saturday, 8 a.m. clip in.
Why: For fun and training. It's fully supported, so you get lots of goodies along the way
Details on the ride(s) here: http://www.charmcityrun.com/eventdetail.cfm?eventid=891
In case you aren't already convinced- THERE ARE PEACHES AT THE FINISH!
And just in case you need more incentive- if you pre-register you get FREE SOCKS. And if you don't, well, you can eat a peach!
In for the 12.
Very tempting... although my longest ride of the year has been only 65 miles. Can I draft off you Laurel? :-)
Course map reveals rolling country outside Frederick, seems sweet:
This event is draft legal, but no wetsuits.
Okay, I am in. But do not mock my wetsuit! It gave me 5 free minutes at NJ State over last year when this year's swim was wetuit legal!! :-)
This sounds fun! At what time everyone is leaving tomorrow morning?
Good ride out there everyone. That was no walk in the park for sure.
I ate the bloody peach. Only 1/3 of it though. Very pretty ride and GREAT food at the end!
Jeanne, could you elaborate on the food portion of the ride, please? Thanks!
I had a great time! Lots of fun, hills, food, peaches, and DC Tri'ers!
They had FREE PEACHES!!! Resulting in this http://www.flickr.com/photos/mccannjl/3805074027/.
That was tough riding. Constant hills. Nothing gigantic, but they were non-stop.
I wish I had some of that peach pie. MMMMMMmmmmmmMMMM that looks good.
