Ode on a MoCo Morning
POSTED: 7/19/10 8:06 AM

Sometimes I'm a giant nerd (I own it), but I thought some of you might be entertained by this. I composed in my head during a ride this weekend....
---------------------------------------------------
Ode on a MoCo Morning

Alarm Clock. Coffee.
Oats. Coffee.
Ade of the gator.
Pickup, meetup. Wheels up.
Take that, Brickyard Road!
Oh, the houses I'll never afford.
Sun beating down. Sweating.
Thank you trees.
35 mph
8 mph
35 mph
Wheeeee! Enjoy it now; you'll pay for it later.
Ugh. Irresponsible gearing.
8 mph
Moving in and out of aero gets easier.
Don't beep at me!
Shot Blocks. Water. Grime.
Hey! I know you.
Take that, River Road.
No flats, phew.
Where did the miles go?

Hey that sounds familiar...you forgot to leave out the ode to the roadkill along the way though. Fun riding with you, I think.

Okay, I'll own the reference to irresponsible gearing. :-)

Christina, you definitely get credit for the phrase, but you weren't the only one guilty of the crime. More than once, I was like, "Whoops! I'm in my big gear!"

And Joyce... no kidding about the roadkill. Did you see the deer right in the middle of the road? Ugh. Ugh.
